A fitter has to have great concentration, a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with their hands.

How a Fitter and Turner Is Qualified

Becoming a qualified and highly competent fitter requires a large amount of training and to obtain the necessary qualifications to prove that they have the right skills and abilities to keep the businesses that they work for safe and compliant. They are required to complete accredited apprenticeships and learnerships, which could take about four years.
