Special care and knowledge are necessary when repairing servo valves due to their critical role in most closed-loop hydraulic systems. As a result, Sealtec Hydraulics has a comprehensive repair and testing facility.
When repairing servo valves, companies like Sealtec Hydraulics do run-in test stands and analyse samples of the actual fluids used in your equipment to evaluate the problem adequately. This allows them to compare performance to existing specifications and accurately replicate the problem you encountered.
Repair Servo Valves
Before repair, all servo valve parts are ultrasonically cleaned in a heated vapour degreaser. Next, internal components are microscopically inspected, and all tolerances are checked. After that, technicians replace all broken, worn, and missing parts before reassembling the servo valves with new seals.
Repaired servo valves are tested on dedicated valve test stands that can handle low- and high-flow testing and pressure up to 3 000 psi. In addition, all servo valves are calibrated and tested to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Since servo valves tend to be expensive, engineers prefer to repair them rather than replace them.
